Using the atlas
The atlas is free for personal, educational and non-commercial use. Please do not misuse it, overload it with automated requests or try to disrupt it.
Information only
Content is written for general interest and learning. We work to keep it accurate, but we cannot promise it is complete or current. Leaders, dates, festival timings and customs change. Nothing here is legal, immigration, medical, financial or travel advice, so check official sources before making decisions.
Maps and borders
The base map shows boundaries as the OpenStreetMap project does. We take no position on disputed territories or borders.

Site text, layout and code are owned by the site's author. Facts about the world belong to everyone, and each pin links to Wikipedia and other sources for further reading. We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to.
Community suggestions
If you send a suggestion you confirm it is your own words or properly sourced, and you allow us to edit and publish it. We may decline or remove any suggestion.

The atlas is provided as it is, without guarantees. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from its use.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use means you accept the current version.
